I launched CreatEd in 2024, after choosing to Home Educate my own children, and discovering the lack of high quality Arts Education offered outside of mainstream school. I have spent over 10 years as Head of Department and Teacher of Art and Design in some of the UK’s top independent schools as well as in British international schools abroad. I am proud to have supported many students through gaining entry into some of the worlds leading Art schools including the Royal College of Art, Central St Martins, Slade School of Fine Art, UAL and Parsons. I have also worked as an Art and Design PGCE mentor, helping to support the training of newly qualified Art teachers., and am an Art & Design Moderator for OCR.

In addition to my teaching I have worked for many years as a boarding Housemistress for girls aged between 11-18. Over the years I have lived with and had responsibility for over 300 girls. This role inspired me to undergo an MSc in Child & Adolescent mental health, during which I studied the neurodiverse brain, as well as mental health conditions.

Having adopted children, I am fully trauma informed, and this deeply influences my teaching approach. I specialise in working with neurodiverse learners.
